Why the tornado exists

Anniversary Hunt years remix classic places into short quests. The tornado is a filter: it proves you are on the Year 2009 path before Roblox opens the portal into official Chaos Canyon. Players who skip dialogue, AFK outside the zone, or hide incorrectly often waste an entire Crest session.

Step-by-step storm clear

1. Arm the Year 2009 objective

Join the Hunt hub and find TheFurryFox / Year 2009 Chaos Canyon signage. Interact until Hunt UI acknowledges the tornado step. Do not teleport into Chaos Canyon first — hub credit comes before map KOs.

2. Enter the tornado arena

When the challenge starts, move into the indicated storm area. Leaving early fails the timer. Treat the zone like a scripted set piece, not a free-roam lobby.

3. Survive a full 60 seconds

Community-tested habits that keep the timer clean:

• Keep moving — standing still invites debris and fail states.
• Run opposite the tornado’s travel — circle with the wind, not into the funnel.
• Do not hide in houses — indoor camping is a common fail. The storm expects open-field survival, not furniture camping.
• Watch your HP — if debris can damage you, heal or reposition before the last ten seconds.
• Stay inside the quest bounds — exploring outside the survival footprint resets progress.

When the minute completes, confirm Hunt UI updates. Only then take the portal / transfer into Chaos Canyon.

4. Portal into official Chaos Canyon

Join place 14403 (universe 295594). Remasters such as Temple of Brickbattle do not grant Crest. After arrival, farm four knock-outs using the four KOs routes and map guide callouts.

5. Claim Crest when Year 2009 completes

After four valid KOs, return attention to Hunt rewards. Players report claiming near a black podium next to the teleporter in the hub reward flow, then confirming the Crest catalog item. If inventory lags, wait, relog, and recheck before grinding endless extra kills.

Platinum Roblox model — year skip tip

Some Hunt runners wear or interact with the platinum Roblox model path that can advance unfinished prior years so you are not stuck behind older anniversary slices. If your journal shows earlier years incomplete and Year 2009 will not arm, check whether the platinum model / Hunt progression assist is available in the hub before blaming the tornado. This does not replace the 60-second survive or the four Canyon KOs — it only unsticks year gating so Chaos Canyon can begin.

Badge lag tip: relog once, reopen Hunt hub rewards, refresh the Crest catalog page, and give the backend a few minutes before you assume failure. Do not wipe a successful run by panic-hopping into a remaster.

After the storm

1. Confirm Year 2009 tornado complete in Hunt UI.
2. Enter official Chaos Canyon 14403.
3. Execute four KOs.
